The 50% increase in the licence fee, plus the associated rise in race entry fees may well be the straws that break a lot of camels backs.
Likewise, I am also only involved at club level, the club (Bayford) has worked tirelessly for the last few years to introduce cost effective racing for people, and it's worked. They have had excellent grids all year, with the November meeting having 126 entries, and the overwhelming majority of those racing regularly are ordinary working people enjoying a great days cost effective racing, for some, it will be a price increase to far.
There is always an option, and not bleeding the bottom end of motorsport dry on the pretext of reinvesting in grass roots level motorsport is but one of them.
