The £89 is not the straw that broke the camels back It just appears to be a lack of realisation of the present situation, a bit like train fares. The difference being people have no choice but to pay the train fares. We race Senior Rotax at club level, not series level. The overwhelming majority of entrants are pretty ordanery working people racing either as privateers or in small teams. This is the area I refer to as grass roots. The prestige motors in the paddock mainly belong to the Banbino and Cadet parents. The grids at senior, grass roots level are far more sensitive to even relatively small increases. It's this group that the MSUK appear to have decided they no longer can, or no longer want to represent. This may not be a path they wish to have taken in a perfect world but felt that they had no option. My original post asked if MSUK has left what I call grass roots karting to IKR? This may not be written, official policy but an unspoken indication a 50% increase in licence fees signifies.
