Credit where credit is due, I actually think MSUK are doing a good job since they took over karting. So far have created a fantastic new national series where you cannot run on a Thursday or Friday, therefore saving all competitors a small fortune, and scuttled the ABKC.....I doff my cap!
Quite simply karting is struggling and it needs more numbers at club level. So the extra cost goes into promoting karting to newcomers......I totally get it.
Loads of parents are blowing loads of money on £6-800 helmet paint jobs, £6-800 custom overalls and lairy sticker kits, the list goes on..... The licence cost increase is a necessary evil for club level karting to grow.
