I would still say carburetor.

People always say they cannot get the carb to idle but if you think about it, they are designed to tick over on the FR125 so they should idle on a Rotax Max.

It sounds like it's cutting out because it doesn't idle.

I find the carbs I service and clean for people who say theirs doesn't idle, always idle when I set them back up on their kart.

I always remove the venturi and the brass sleeve below it as well as every jet and the needle seat.

Ultrasonic clean and a good blast through of all orifices. (Ooh er Missus.)

It will be the idle circuit that is not fucnctioning correctly and this affects the closed to 1/4 throttle openings.

Whereabouts are you?
