lol...no sour grapes...we had in cadet the best motor in the fusion awning and was offered massive money for it by other parents to sell it...in the class we are in we have again one of the best motors....and i know that if we moved to x30 we would get the best....we are fortunate to have a large budget...my bashing isnt about big motors if you read my posts...my bashing is about everyone being sold x30 as a level playing field and believing it and moving to the class thinking that is the case when it is certainly at super 1 not the case. I know junior and senior x30 drivers who have had better power and admit and know they havent or have got it now. Same with TKM then Rotax now everyone is sold the x30 line and jump to that class, the parents get fleeced the engine suppliers/builders and teams get richer. I havent got access to anyone else's dyno sheets apart from my own and in cadet we had 4 motors and the difference was 2/3 tenths between best and worst. In the class we are in there is a tenth between our motors and my son isn't the best driver in his class i dont think he is and he will never ever drive proffessionally unless it is for UPS. So no sour grapes just being honest and open. We have run as dad and lad in cadet and run with fusion, we are now running with a top junior team and i see rotax and x30 karts in a large awning with varying degree of driver ability and see what goes on. If you have the money you can buy an engine which is around 2/3 tenths better than everyone elses in that class. As Steve Ogden said to me at the weekend, Mills has made his retirement look very healthy with x30, due to the amount of work the engine needs through a season compared to rotax and tkm.
