It does happen we had it in a heat in Super 1 last weekend and it was before we had exited the dummy grid in the shed...twice...i do think though after having a number of years in cadets without it the bumper has improved the first lap crashes and use of bumpers for some heavy handed drivers. The cadets at Rowrah were actually making it through the first chicane on the whole, where as we had been there many times to not get through all weekend....lol...just got to be cautious before and until you had your bumper checked.
