Thanks for the replies.

I looked at the first round of Rotax you only got 67 laps I think so that's Ł2.80 per lap, if you factor in series fee it's Ł3.13, per lap! other rounds only seen around 80 laps so it's approx Ł2.60 lap

The replies shed some light, guess there are costs you can't see etc but still seems very exspensive to me, approx 250 entries at rd1 I think so that's Ł40,000 plus in entry fees alone, I would be good if it was cheaper because not all that do or want to do s1 are as well off as some, but they don't seem to be struggling for entries, so it won't be cheaper anytime soon.
As before I'm not slating s1, just asking why. Thanks for the input.
