Just go to B&Q, buy a 1 metre strip of 25mm x 2mm aluminium for about £5

at about 50mm, make a nice 90 degree bend over and old 25mm axle, which will surround the switch, then cut off at about 100mm long after the first bend, de-burr and drill a hole to bolt between the top cover and cylinder block, heypresto.

I have done this on all of my engines, it looks the part, highly functional, for only peanuts.
