The Honda situation is out of hand (in my humble opinion) it was surposed to be the budget cadet class, yet, most Iame, engine are not selected parts, most Honda's are. Iame has a no removing metal rule, Honda's are having there barrels machined.
Really they should do something similar to the 200 extremes, where the 160's are tweaked to equalise them. Basically you either buy your engine equalised and sealed or if you already own an engine, you send it it to be done. Any suspect engines in an msa race get sent off to be redone, plus some at random. Checking re-sealing becomes part of the service cost. They did something similar with bambino a few years back, there was a period where you could send your engine to be checked and sealed for a fixed price and a lone of bent engines were taken out of circulation.
However there has to be an willingness to make the racing fairer, how do you persuade the rich dads who have several x£££ engines to have their advantage taken away. Plus teams and engine builders who hire/sell big engines etc etc.
But if Honda is the budget class something should be done
