As a poor soul who, as described earlier has only once had a new kart engine apart, are engines usually manufactured with an interference fit between crank journal and main bearing inner race? On all the s.h. rubbish I played with the crank was a loose fit in the bearing and some had a fair degree of wear. I actually ' had the BT 82 crank down a bit' because I didn't want to struggle to get the engine apart. Not done many engines but never had one with the crank tight in the bearings, always loose/worn.
