Blue book (U)17.5.5. on front fairing position has very interesting (bad) wording.

In drawing 17.5, it states "...Unacceptable position – if any part of the front bumper tubes is in an area marked ‘A’ ...".

Firstly there are no dimensions for the boundary line of area 'A'. For example, if a front bumper tube rides forward, but has not fallen over into the "dropped position" the tubes will be still encroaching into area 'A'.

So all, relish the thought that a front fairing has moved forwards (say) 4mm or so and has not dropped; well that's a penalty for you.
