Keeping fit for Clay

Now we are having so much track time at Clay are there any tips on how to be fit enough ?! Unfortunately years are against me, but I am now cycling frequently and swimming at least once a week, but after a 14 minute final ( sometimes 15 ! ) I'm past my best! I only race once a month , but with the length of the races at Clay that's more than enough !!
