Most people use CNC but a good cast barrel may be as quick however it would be hard to know yours is any god without back to back testing it against a CNC.
I assume you are a senior so TAG motors are fairly rare and do not seem so far to be the massive advantage they are in juniors, weight is also a factor as they are 4 kgs heavier plus £1500 more expensive.
