Hi all,
I'm new to posting on forums, so please bear with me.
I'm currently racing with Rugby Kart Club. It's been around for 10 years now, but is a small club so many (or all) of you may not have heard of it.
I am trying to raise awareness of an endurance event that we are trying to fill up, a 6hr race at Whilton Mill. We basically ran a couple of teams in the NKL 8hr race at the same venue and thought we'd organise one, but it's proving more difficult to fill than originally thought.
The basics are that it's a 6hr race, preceded by a 20-minute qualifying practice session. There will be an allocation of food from the burger van on site. The cost is £485 per team of 3+ drivers.
We currently have 13 teams signed up and maybe one or two more made of individual drivers. We use the karts provided by Whilton Mill (Sodi RT8s I think).
So if anyone who fancies racing with us in the endurance, or even joining the club, then please get in touch with club organiser Clark Cowell at clarkmcowell@talktalk.net and he will be glad to help. We may need to take deposits (usually £30 or so) to save time wasters (we have had a few).
More info on the club can be found at www.rugbykartclub.co.uk, and there's an advert for the endurance on the Events and Results page also.
We look forward to seeing you racing with us!
