The kart was a 16 gauge frame, with a carbon floor tray and lightweight seat and then lots of weighing bits and selecting the lightest stuff.

I have a big spreadsheet with the original verses lightweight plus the cost per kg savings, the top 3 are:

Side pods - Jade -OTK M4 =960 grams
Seat - Tillett - Iztech = 756 grammes
Seat Stays - Std Chrome - Ali Tube - 272 gramms
