as have been pointed out in several posts, if not supervised sensibly are going to hasten the migration of people away from MSA karting, and possibly completely away from karting.

Very sad state of affairs for karting.

The 'problem' of loading has been growing over the years. Those who learnt their karting as cadets, where loading is normal practice, have carried this forward into the next classes. It might be spectacular to watch 6 or 7 karts nose to touching tail down the straights, but when moved up to much heavier and faster Mini Maxs (for example), this is dangerous and disruptive. It has to be sorted out from the very beginning.

So why are cadets exempt? I do not accept that the cadet nose cone is not a CIK approved design as an suitable excuse.

A case of NOT shutting the stable door before the horse has bolted.

What of the cost if when the 'drooped' nose cone does 10 laps rubbing on the track and wears through? It will need replacing (certainly at S1 level). £60 to £65 for CIK nose cones and then the graphics. That's a cost of around £80 a time. I would get extremely ANNOYED to say the least if this needed to be replace every race meeting.

So it needs a properly engineered solution. This would be initially more expensive but cheaper in the long run. Something similar to the safety bindings on skis?

Or are we going to see the development of the super clamp? Does up that tight that the bumper will be destroyed before the bumper moves back and droops?
