Interesting comments guys, I stand by the costs I quoted for new gear, I have my ear pretty close to the ground and I know the prices that top rotax engines change hands for.
if push comes to shove, I'd accept the junior/adult chassis, with the Briggs WF engine on the right, but it needs to be a viable mini/junior option for 11 year olds, dare I say running in Super1 as a genuine MSA class, then it will filter down as a credible mini/junior class into the club level, it will fail if they expect it to first be a success at the cub level.
Sorry I'll say it again, mini and junior rotax grids are reducing or stagnant at every track I race at (Whilton, Rye, Buckmore), and X30 aint the solution, thats even more expensive, and you CAN select build engines and find 5-10% more power, but you need to spend £20,000 on 10 engines to build a few gooduns, I heard 2 stories from credible sources recently.
