FIRSTLY this post is from a lad and dad team that have no link to Fulbeck apart from racing there. We have no financial benefit from posting this. Fulbeck is run as a non profit making club; all the income is ploughed back into the club and facilities at the circuit and to invest in the future of the club to ensure they can provide a great cost effective facility for whomever wants to race there. I ran a private test day there and any funds left over after paying the track hire was donated to the club.
In the words of allo allo - 'I shall post this only once' !!
This weekend is the next round of the IKR / Non MSA race series Info. is on CA karting website - entry forms, class rules, etc. Also there are facebook pages 'fulbeck kart track' and 'fulbeck sprint series' where you can see more info. Basically run to MSA rules with officials that cover MSA also, but without the need for race licences, medicals etc. Race day AMB transponders are used, you can hire if you haven't one. £50 for the whole weekend if signed on by midday sat, or £35 for separate days. They will allow any kart / driver to practice & race so long as they pass a safety scrutineer. They run a mix of formula of the same or similar pace if there are not many of your formula. They do operate a voluntary novice process - I have been running off the back of the grid until I'm happy to go in the grid, tell Julie when you sign on if you want to run from the back. Gate open Friday morning / midday, first session on track at 9.30am Sat. Some pit bays are booked so check before you pitch, but the rest are free. There was a good turn out last month approx. 150 karts racing, so you should get a good grid to practise / race against; senior grids at about 20 for lights and 177. But turn out was not too large - so you get loads of track time - too much for some of us old muckers!! Notice I said 'muckers' not ..................
