Want to do regular karting sessions and maybe in the future also some amateur racing. Given the time availability (I am almost 50 and travelling a lot for work) and technical skills I am afraid will need to rely on arrive and drive (Buckmore and Lakeside are not fare Daytona Sandown is not too far at about 45 to 60 minutes by car).
Having said that I was thinking to buy some clothing/safety equipment to use in the various sircuit instead of relying only on what is given when renting.
What would you buy? From what would you start? Was thinking to start with some rib protectors given that only Buckmore will give you one and rib injures are relatively common and very painful (and can compromise your potential to do karting for months)
In terms of homologation for race suits, gloves and helmets what do I need to ensure I have to avoid problems renting and racing karts in various tracks? Do they "expire"?
Honestly do not want to spend too much as I do not know how many times I will be able to go but would still prefer to have my own stuff
Thanks
