if it`s popping back thro carb its a weak mixture, take the main jet out again and try and look thro it with a glass to make sure is perfectly clean, run a small piece of wire thro it, not enough fuel in the float bowl from weak pump will also do it,
Have you changed the plug or cleaned and re-gap it too big or too small will cause misfire, check also plug cap is not arcing to rocker cover, in low light or darkness (?) you will see this.
