Many thanks to everyone that came along to todays fast and furious Sprint meeting at Stretton. A hell of a day which was not helped by having technology working against us for most of it but I think we got there in the end.
An amazing turnout, not only from the drivers but with a great crowd of supporters and service crews but with the reduction in classes over the winter rounds (No Subarus and Junior and Senior Honda running together) things happened pretty quickly today.
Another massive thank you goes to everyone that entered the raffle. We raised £350.00 which is an amazing effort on everyone part. Thank you very much if you purchased a ticket.
1st place (2 x Honda GX160 Engines) went to Ev Carty
2nd place (a set of rims) went to someone that I can't remember!
3rd place (collection of chain lube) went to Ian Pinker.
Thank you also to those people that bought tickets and then told us not to enter then therefore just making a donation.
I'd also like to thank the Marshals today and the guys on pit lane who have been kept very busy all day. Big shout to to Steve Brown for the scales and to Jay Shepherd who helped out pretty much everyone at some point or another. Don't forget that Jay is doing plenty of "One to One" driver development sessions at the moment so please drop him a message if you are interested. (I can vouch that every driver he has helped so far has moved up the grid !)
The next (and final round of the 2014/15 season) is on Feb 8th 2015 running on the Carousel layout.
As a final note, the End of season presentation will be held at the circuit on February 28th starting at 7.30pm. Nigel Chapman will be providing the Disco and the bar will be open until the following Sunday! I will issue a list of recipients after the final round but the evening isn't just about getting trophies it's also an end of term social of ANYONE connected to Stretton in any way, shape or form.
