It is open for discussion, I agree.

However the MSA asked drivers for their opinions and those that responded stated, quite strongly I am told, that they wanted fewer classes.

And the problem with democracy is that only those that vote get counted.

Another problem with democracy is that you may get exactly what you asked for, even if what you asked for isn't what you meant. Your scenario is probably accurate, those that would disagree with any selection probably outnumber those in favour of that particular selection.

Again one of the problems with the Easykart announcement is that it is political or diplomatic, one can take one's choice of description. They have a number of unspecified issues with the MSA, and because they are unspecified one might think that they are the common ones that affect many drivers, though their issues may in fact be quite different.

Those who see it in simple MSA-bashing terms probably aren't doing karting any good in the long run.
