If you're getting loaded, just about the only way to survive it is to load the kart in front. This goes all the way up to the first kart not to do it, where the carnage usually occurs.

These ridiculously slow starts perfectly set up the conditions for loading and, putting aside the fact that driving standards are generally poor and are the root cause, faster starts would help to mitigate this. By faster, I mean substantially faster, accelerating off the last 1-2 corners such that the field is spread out, loading cannot occur, drivers have space to make mistakes and avoid accidents and officials have the opportunity to spot deliberate foul play.
