Were actually finding the pistons are lasting a bit longer now were onto our 2nd/3rd ones. as we run more oil iv noticed the actual bottom end of the motor is a lot wetter than a rotax, even after being left for a month. so i expect the bottom end to be in better condition due to the extra lubrication on startup.

On rotax i was noticing a drop off at the 5 hour stage these seem to be around the 10 hour spot. Plus its pretty easy to keep an eye on things yourself which helps when making rebuild decisions.

Iv saved money so far this year as I'm not hiring motors, doing rebuilds swapping parts etc. Infact last year cost me a fortune chasing extra power. So far iv tried 2 carbs and exhausts and with the X30 they have been identical in performance. So i just rotate them race by race.
