Sadly I'm not a nuclear physicist or a metallurgist so can’t deliver half a page of (possibly) irrelevant (but possibly interesting in specific cases) information ! I’ll just try to provide the information I think you want.
In Cadet paddock gossip terms, the mustard rims do lose the heat better, irrespective of the facts as discussed above ! In our case in almost all cases the pressures/temps after a race/test on them or normal ‘black’ cadet rims were almost exactly the same.
What I can definitely say is in our case the kart felt different to drive on them, according to my son, which maybe down to the difference in width and therefore contact patch although we didn’t see any increase in revs with the different circumference so it’s negligible I’d say. I'm sure the mustard wet rims are (15mm ??) narrower than the black rims we ran in Comers. Maybe in Honda your rims are narrower.
We didn’t get on with them in hot or cold dry weather due to the handling characteristics let alone see any tyre advantage but we did try it a few times to prove it. Maybe at the highest level they change other settings to take advantage but the wider/black rim would I think create a larger contact patch therefore lower the tread temp but as always, try it for yourself as it’s only 5 mins swapping tyres for a direct comparison and your driver may prefer it.
