Hi Simon,

I cant thank you enough for the help!

Previously i have ran 2strokes for two years so stress wise im not going to go crazy i was hoping to push it safe to about 15500rpm...i would be hoping for 15+ hours if that sounds in the ball park?

Previously using shell m i have had the power drop off after 10hours with our TKMs due to the ring sticking. Im a just in a place where im confident enough to understand and check the top ends of engines.

I sort of think of this as a similar engine but running a 'cleaner' oil? which is why im unsure on the best way to go about running it, for longer...Also im nervous because new motor, new oil type, lower mixture, for longer so under confident initialy.

Your points are fantastic... I hoped monitoring the running temp was going to be easy but i had no clue i would have to test the sensor so you may have saved me a lap 3 heart attack there? Makes perfect sense thanks!

Carb mixture i should be ok with working from the initial settings supplied if anything i go abit rich rather than balls deep lean so do i need to be bringing that in too? One thing as its a reed valve, is it running 'dry' when the throttle is closed?

Carb restriction i dont think i will use :)

Ignition type is digital, so does this mean the advance is variable rather than fixed timing?

Im not racing but i don't like to use the H word! i want to learn to run this engine as well as all you guys do rather than abuse it

Thanks again for the great help
