Im not sure whoopee was the quite the phrase everyone wass using to describe the new starting position / layout.

In three years on the old layout I think I had about 2 first corner incidents, since it changed to the new pile into the 1st chicane layout I usually average 1 per meeting and even when you make it through its generally at the cost of bent bumpers, crumpled pods or some other damage.

Ive yet to speak to any driver who thought it was an improvement so quite why it was done is a mystery and I do know of several folks who have gone elsewhere because of it.

Just to be clear Ive no issue with the finish line moving to the same spot as the start just the moving of the start line so we now go through the tight chicane first instead of the wide sweeping bottom corner with loads of run off!!
