you say a 'huge amount of engines have been sold prior to the extreme series starting.
-If so then why were there not enough to around at the last PFI round? - or were you exaggerating?
you say the Gx160 prokarters are 'in the minority', presumably compared to the extreme grid.
-hard to believe...
unless of course this Gx200 propaganda leaves 160 racers in their garages due to wondering where the sanity has gone from the sport.
In my opinion the sp buyers have lost their edge due to sp's not being as good as they thought and this new series is just another chance to buy multiple engines/find a good set and recover their monied edge.
-as for wanting ideas for building a prokart grid that allows everyone a chance to race, and move up the grid...
Simple,
# produce a fiche that everyone can work to.
# allow a decent amount of time for scrutineering to happen each meeting, rather than what goes on now.
# protect scrutineers from so much high court litigation, maybe by using the 'judgement of fact' principle, or some other legal device.
# always have a grid or part of the grid for tuned engines so people can be proud of their ingenuity/engine prep skills.
# encourage tuners or their reps, as part of a series rules, to use this noticeboard and help new starters rather than have big money racers ridicule every newcomers questions, losing them.
The above list is very simplistic and will obviously cause concern for some but after all... it's just my opinion.
