GX200s are not going to keep the price down and in my view are going the wrong way for clubman racing.
With unsealed GX160s an owner can degovern, race prepare and do all the subsequent servicing and replacement of engine internals themselves. Ok, the owner may not have access to stocks of parts to build an SP, however there are some very quick self prepared engines out there, mixing at the pointy end of the grid - now that is satisfying for the owner that prepared those engines.
As long as you are forced into paying someone else to do work on your engines, I don't think you can ever say it is going to keep the price down.
Being able to do your own engine builds is one of the benefits of Prokarts against Rotax (they're the main grids up North for seniors), why take that benefit away?
