As the title says, have they ? I started racing Karts in 2005 at Hooton Park. It was actually by chance that it happened (probably 1 or 2 who wish I didn't(oh well) but LOTS glad i did).I was on my way to London with my Mrs to a Festival, we pulled in to the services at Ellesmere Port to get some food for the journey, and there was this bloke (in a yellow race suit- you know who you are George, it's all YOUR fault..) pumping his tyres up on a kart. I asked him where he raced, and he said Hooton Park. It was a race day, so off we go, U turn back to Hooton Park (London can wait) So we turn up at Hooton, nice friendly bunch of peeps, lots of people, cars, trailers etc etc. I don't think that there was a single MAJOR team there. There was NO big motor homes with "Fruit flavoured names" But "hey Ho" Hooton is a CLUB track... I feel sorry for the NEW dads n lads n daughters trying to come into karting. YOU DONT STAND A CHANCE unless you pay big dollars to the teams who are RAPING this sport. What is there to stop any tom dick n fanny from buying an awning, all singing, all dancing, charging all the "money people" loads of dollars to make little Jonny go faster than the rest............... EVRR ?? EVK ??ha ha ha The ONLY WAY to bring karting back to Life is to BAN THESE BIG TEAMS from CLUB meetings, let them do S1, Europe, what ever, BUT Leave CLUB RACING TO CLUBBIES..... Imagine IF YOU just bought your son a kart, turn up at a track to race. With a caravan, tent, out of the back of your van, set your tent up, .. Next minute................ CHRYSLER 7 SLEEPER, SLIDE OUT SIDES,...... With a BIG name team... ???? NO TEAMS AT CLUB RACING. FINE AT MAJOR EVENTS, BUT LEAVE CLUBS TO CLUBS OR YOU WILL KILL OUR SPORT// Guess I'm gonna get hunted down, but hey ho, say it as it is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Buzzin
