ive just watched a nice refreshing little film on youtube about kart racing in the USA ,with the recession and credit crunch hitting just as hard if not harder over there they have had the effects hit the karting scene as we have.
over there they have a class called s.k.u.s.a. (super kart u s a) .which is basically a 2 stroke geared class only allowing bog standard honda cr 125 motors. no tuning allowed and blue printing not realy worth the bother and it is thriving with clubman, regional and national champs with full grids all over the country. the honda cr motor is as reliable as any and running costs can be as cheap a a piston per season . we could learn a lot from this , look at all the class which have tried and failed .. its a good film worth a watch stick with it it gets better as it goes on just put : become one film karting , in the youtube search box and enjoy
