So...... by THAT logic.... you are NEVER going to suggest that (for example) Gazza wasn't very good towards the end of his carreer.!

Why? .....because Gazza:-

"didnt get to " footbal "without displaying an exceptional amount of skill and ability beyond anything we are capable of."

Let's not just stop at football; your comment would prevent you expressing an opinion about:-

1) English Cricket
2) Andy Murray / Tim Henman
3) Sugar Babes
4) Noel Edmonds
5) Etc.

In ALL those cases, they have 'made it' whereas you HAVEN'T and thus, by your logic, you CANNOT comment on their failings!

Yes, that's a LOVELY concept....... but where is the FUN in THAT? My God! I know NOTHING about football but that doesn't stop me having an opinion about (for example) Phil Neville!

We 'do' this stuff because it's FUN! However, we don't expect Ron Dennis or Luca 'Monetzuma' to take any NOTICE of us!
