and merv...in a sad moment I looked in the blue book for the ruling and couldnt find it. (gotta practice what I preach more).
I made the comment as to what I have understood the rules to be.
so maybe the choice is to try and take a weak explanation from a doddery old git like me using a failing memory or go out at the weekend, cut the chicane, win the race, then tell the COC there is no rule about it in the blue book so he cant disqualify you, see how you get on. ;-)
ps anybody know where this rule is written?
