Hi Chris

It's actually very rare that you get any shots of crashes or other track event as you're more than likely to in a different place to where they happen or have the camera set up for entirely different shots.

I used a Canon EOS 5D last Sunday -- not the most suitable camera for sports photography but it does for me -- and more importantly, a Canon 100 - 400 mm EF L IS lens 1:4.5 - 5.6.
