"Thats the point. I dont think anyone doubts that within the next couple of seasons it will be the engine to have."
err I do! They wont be around in a few years! Honda are not the financial gargantuans you all seem to think. They are in the doo doo. Massive saleas drop in their domestic market, large drop in Europe, a pick up in U.S.A (F1 success or otherwise will have little knock on effect either way there) a drop in output in China and a rise in the rest of Asia. They do not have the pockets to fund a badly behind the curve F1 engineering excercise. There will be plenty of job loses at Honda in the coming years ("don't worry people your all b******* but at least we're in F1"- yep that goes down well every time) and on top of car development/production/transportation/targeted marketing costs you think they've got another £200 million to spend on a brand awareness excercise? Your're all mad. Everyone has already heard of Honda and the board will soon realise that too. Merc make a hell a lot more surplus per car than Honda do as do BMW (and they walked way when the couldn't cut it! just like... em...let me see..OH I know:Honda!). Those running robots are far better value for Honda brand awareness
