On the news this morning loads of kids said they are rioting because they have no employment prospects and there are no jobs about. If the low life had jobs im sure most would be kept off the streets. When you look at what industry we have lost you can kinda see there point although i no way agree with them. The industries that we once had:
1) Car Industry
2) Coal Mineing
3) Ship Building
4) Agriculture
5) Forestry/ Timber
6) Engineering/ Manufacture
7) Sheffield Steel
8) Steel/ Iron works
9) Trains/ Bridges
10) Supermarkets - all of our produce mostly comes from outside europe.
And on top of this, our airports are owned by the spanish, or water by the malaysians etc etc.
Everybody cant stack shelfs at tesco and asda??
I think our country needs to take a long hard look at where we are going. Maybe we should be world leaders in renewable energy/ wind power/ solar power or something. Not just a country of shop keepers.
