Here's a question for Ian and Davy boy.
Given that the TT is almost certain to result in you being killed or very badly injured and that the only reason its run is to make money for the island.
How can they get riders to race there. Surely its beyond comprehension that someone would take part in a sport where you are almost guaranteed to be killed.
By the same logic, how can any parent let their eight year old child take part in a sport where there is even the slightest risk of them being seriously injured or killed and call themselves responsible parents.
We all think karting is fairly safe so we accept the risk is small and are willing to take it. Every TT rider will know the risks he is taking and is 100% certain in his own mind that he has sufficent skill not to kill himself.
If you are going to take away the risk of an adult killing himself, should you not take away the risk of a child killing himself.
Or do we all accept that having the freedom to make your own choice about how you live is better than having a busybody interfering in another aspect of your life because he doesn't like your choice and will find any excuse to stop you.
If its your choice and no one is making you do it and it doesn't offend, injure or offend anyone else, go and do it.
If its not hurting you, or you dont have to watch it and it doesn't interfere with your life and how you want to live, leave it alone.
The riders will decide when the risks at the TT are too great.
Once again, deepest sympathy to the families of the riders.
