Ian, I totally agree the TT is an unsafe place to race a motorcycle. But you also have to understand that not one of the riders who race at the TT is forced to do it, and if you sit down and talk with them they all have an understanding of risks involved.

Having been a multi British championship winner and involved with motorcyling now for thirty years, I have known many riders that have not been on the boat back, DJ, mick lofthouse,Phil Mellor, Mark Farmer, Steve Henshaw,Simon Beck, to name just a few ( and the list is much longer)

Everyone of them loved the TT, and no matter what you could have said to them, you would not have changed their mind to go.
The thing is they have a choice, and in our modern world its nice still to have that choice.

I had a choice and didnt go, i chose wisely!!
