I'm not a fan of MSC, but have to agree with his interpretation of the flag signals.

Green means go for it!.

If anyone should be penalised it should be the guy who wrote sloppy regs. or the or the guy who implemented them. They should have carried on showing yellows.

Perhaps they should change the maximum lap/time regs. to allow for a green-white-checker as in NASCAR
