What is so frightening about the whole thing is that 99% of voters seem incapable either of seeing beyond their own petty little problems or perhaps worse their blinkered allegiance to a redundant class based party system, all while they are actually being asked to decide the future of the country.

For every idiot woman who stands up and says 'this government is rubbish, my husband was made redundant 2 months ago and they've done nothing for him', there is some die hard party member of whatever colour who would still vote that way if Hitler or Stalin was still running for leadership.

Fundemental to any constitutional reform should be the need to actually earn the right to a vote, with some sort of exam, based on actually having a clue what you are voting for.
