Asbestosis is not a cancer. It is caused by asbestos which is a natural mineral. It was know hundreds of years ago that it was dangerous and potentially fatal. It was used for many years for convenience, and because money corrupts and complicates scientific research, as it did on smoking. The relevance of health and life are directly proportional to the money involved. The only good news of asbestosis is, if you try and cut through the political and financial b0ll0cks, it appears that it has a fairly accurate incubation period of 10 years. This is my interpretation of the evidence that I can obtain. However this doesn't mean you can't die of it after twelve years since exposure, it simply means it is less likely. It is very probable that the deaths from asbestosis in the next 10 years will increase dramatically
