Some questions for Vic, as he seems to prefer them to statements.
o Have the climate scientists said that the global temperature WILL increase or that it MAY increase ?
o Have they said that man is DEFINITELY the sole cause of this proposed increase or the POSSIBLE cause ?
o Have they said that the actions being proposed in Copenhagen WILL reverse the proposed climate changes or MAY reverse them ?
Now having satisfied yourself that the differences between possibility, probability and certainty doesn't really matter anymore, you might like to consider things from an economic perspective.
o Will American tax payers be content with borrowing billions from China so that America [a developed country] can pay China [a developing country] to modernize its infrastructure ? Do you really believe that will get through the US senate ?
o As a British tax payer, would you be content with accomodating a double digit tax increase to help top up a $100BN EU fund which will handed over to questionable administrations in developing countries in the name of modernizing their infrastructures [aka to do with it what they wish]... while at the same time you will be forced to suffer draconian cuts in your own domestic infrastructure services ?
