Bernie had the quadruple heart valve replacment operation about ten ytears ago so he could be around for quite some time!

For a bit of balance here'e mine

Good points
Self made son of a fisher man.
Bought Brabham and kept it a world championship winning team.
Employed Gordon Murray who designed some incredible and audacious cars, eg Fan car!
Ran FOCA which allowed the British constructors to dominate in the 70/80's (when we had proper racing)
Employed John Watson, a great British (Irish) driver when there where plenty of Europeans willing to pay for the drive.
Kept the British Grand Prix going when there where other countries prepared to pay a lot more
for a Grand Prix
Has to be the shrewdist business man in this county - sold F1 rights for billions but still runs the whole show!

Bad points
Gave money to the Labour party
Bizarre statements about Hitler and Senna (His heart might be good but perhaps his mind is going a bit)
Being associated with Max Mosley
Enabled Nelson Piguet to win three world championships (good enough for one maybe)
Thinks people pay to see cars not drivers (but probably a negotiating ploy to keep his drivers salary down)
Allowing F1 to become a boring procession of high tec advertising boards on wheels
