Cad help wanted...

# I built a cyl head model in AutoCAD rel 14
# saved as a 3ds file
# imported AutoCAD 3ds file into 3DStudio Max v3

#### all the holes and round columns became low res/faceted when rendered!!!

arghhh!!!

any ideas how to overcome the issue?

btw, the cad rendered model looked ok on screen before saving as a 3ds file.
