Ahh but you are assuming that cheap and good are mutually exclusive, when they are not.

Some cheap cars are very good cars, some cheap beer is very good beer (altho I prefer a drop of the vino rosso). Currently the NHS is very expensive but not all that good (better then america but still very badly managed). The Justice system doesn't require money to be good decent and fair.

Anyway you don't have to pay a lot of money for good food (for example its a lot cheaper to make your own burger and chips of a higher quality then buy it from mcdonalds). However what you clarify as good food is not known.
