FYI, the following are the latest statistics (from W3schools) for the usage of different browsers:

IE7 25.4%
IE6 17.4%
IE8 0.8%
Firefox 46.4%
Chrome 4.0%
Safari 3.0%
Opera 2.2%

IE6 usage is falling by about 1% per month (IE7 is also down, but not significantly so) and Firefox has now overtaken combined IE usage. Perhaps this will become the new standard, Chrome and Safari are growing slowly and Opera is remaining about the same. They don't even bother reporting Netscape usage any more, which is probably the remaining 0.8%
