Unless you're sadly born, or become, disabled you have the same opportunities as everyone else to become successful and rich. I've spent almost all of my working life working for entrepreneurs who started out in life with nothing. They are truely amazing people and even a day with one of them would open your eyes to what's possible.
We should encourage people to become successful and rich, not penalize them for doing so. The current system we have happily incentivizes people to parasite on the state and rewards them for increasing their burden on it. Then we wonder why there's so much crime, so many people who just don't care... its because they don't have to. The state does it for them.
I just learned from a friend of mine who is driving a Y reg VW passat she bought before Christmas that you can have up to GBP16,000 in savings and receive full benefits, including a paid for 3 bedroom flat in Finchley and grants to go to university. I don't know how true that is, but when I asked her why she doesn't go out and get a job, she literally laughed in my face. Its just unbelievable.
