This is getting plain stupid.....

The reason why there are still 5,000 in Calais is because, as more get into the UK, more arrive to replace them. Are you REALLY trying to suggest that we are managing to keep them all out and no more are arriving at Calais.... hence a static number......? You are simply kidding us..... or yourself!

You clearly know nothing about the Aussie system or else you'd know by quite how many the number of 'illegal migrants' has been reduced. Since the (nasty) right wing party got into power, there have been 15 boats TOTAL attempting to carry illegals into Aus and not a single death. IN the previous 4 years (before the policy) it is estimated that they received...... FIFTY THOUSAND 'illegals' arriving and remaining!

That's 50,000 to zero....... and that '...hasn't reduced immigration rates in any meaningful sense.'. (quoting you).

While you base you view on such silliness, I don't need to discuss this with you further.
