For me, it's not about the threat. It's about them being unable to enter: call it 'fortress Britain' if you like. Once they see that they CANNOT get in and will be ejected if they do find a way, they will stop trying.

Do I have proof of this working.....? YES, it's called Australia. Just check-out the numbers who have (as an example) trying to get in to Aus since they imposed 'Fortress Aus' and before.

Don't prettigy theft: is not 'greasing wheels' it's plain theft!

Giving the money to women has proved vastly more efficient than giving it to the men. The 'returns' to the populace and the families is enormously greater when the money is given to women rather than men. Like it or not (and I don't like it!) women do a better job than men with small investments in these circumstances.

Yes, there will be a migratory pressure, there was and still is in Aus. They have NOT reduced the gap between life between (e.g.) Vietnam and Aus but they have managed to STOP the influx of 'boat people'. Yes, they have done it in an aggressive manner but, their method has halted the 'deaths at sea'..... unlike anything we have tried so far!
