In this context F1 is already safer than a lot of less overtly dangerous sports, let alone lower formulas of motorsport. I'm quite sure that many many drivers and riders worldwide in lower formulas were seriously injured the same weekend and didn't/won't get a thing.

The constant reference to one accident is starting to irritate. Stupid statements about how brave other drivers are getting back into their cars etc.
I think F1 needs to remember the adage that 'S**t happens' and get over it.
